Vocal WORKSHOP with Eamonn Dougan
Eamonn Dougan, Associate Conductor of The Sixteen, leads a workshop on vocal technique and coloratura in Handel's Messiah, alongside his own perspectives on the work and its performance history.
As part of Paragon Singers 2021 project focusing on Handel's Messiah, we are inviting eminent specialists to give their own perspectives on arguably the most well-known work in the western canon.
We are delighted that Eamonn Dougan will be leading the first of these sessions - he is a highly sought after conductor and an expert in vocal coaching. Sarah first came across him when she learnt from him as part of Genesis Sixteen, and continues to find his approach to working with singers and musicians inspirational.
Join singers from Paragon in a Zoom session in which Eamonn will help us tackle Messiah from a singers' perspective - particularly working on the flexibility and dexterity needed in performance, alongside his thoughts on the work after experiencing the piece both as singer and conductor.
Monday 15th March, 8pm-9.30pm
Free entry, limited places available - contact paragonsingers@gmail.com to book.
