Paragon 50 anniversary Commission
I Hold The Heights by Sarah Dacey Premiered on Saturday 21st March 2026 iN Bath Abbey
To start our 50th anniversary year celebrations, on Saturday 21st March 2026 we presented a promenade concert in Bath Abbey featuring over 400 years of choral music, and a premiere of a new commission by Sarah Dacey
Paragon has a history of commissioning new work, and were very keen to mark our 50th anniversary by commissioning a female composer to write a work suitable for SATB choirs. We were delighted to appoint Sarah Dacey to write this new piece, I Hold the Heights, which was dedicated to much-missed Paragon tenor James Henderson in honour of his long and generous contributions to the choir.
